Improvements and fixes in September

Fixes and smaller additions to pages, data sources and displays.

  • Text layers have a Max lines setting that cuts off longer text with "…" while keeping its size.

  • A campaign can be removed from a playlist on the playlist page.

  • Someone who signs up with the name of an organisation that already uses Lumicast can ask its admins for an invitation. Admins can turn this off under Organisation → Settings.

  • A failing data source shows the provider's error message, since when it has been failing and when it last updated.

  • Support tickets accept more attachment types, including .txt, .csv, .zip, .docx, .xlsx and .mov.

  • Emails, including support and invitation emails, are fully in the recipient's language.

  • Reminders about expiring connections arrive 14 and 3 days ahead and on the day itself, instead of every day.

  • The content library's search bar stays in view while you scroll.

  • After you publish a campaign, its playlists show it without a refresh.

  • Starting a page from a template adds its images to your content library only when you save the page.

  • Letters such as g, j and y are no longer cut off in tables and the font picker.

  • A field in data source setup that depends on another, such as a SharePoint list, refreshes when you change the field it depends on.

  • Uptime counts a display as online when it stays on during its usual off hours.

  • Offline displays keep playing instead of reloading every few seconds.

  • Samsung Tizen displays no longer restart in a loop, and Google fonts show on Tizen 4 and 5.

  • Raspberry Pi displays come back on by themselves after a power cut, and a player that crashes restarts within seconds.

  • A URL display that reloads gets its own slot back.

  • Reboot is available for a newly connected display without refreshing the page.

  • People who sign in with SSO but aren't in a workspace yet are asked to contact their admin.

  • On phones, content details show the name and the Edit button, and long audit log lines wrap.

See it on your own displays.
